Abstract

There has been increasing responsibility placed upon the tertiary education institutes to equip their students with ICT skills. The main purpose of this study is to explore the difference of Arts and Science undergraduate students in the study of an ICT course. The results obtained show no significant differences on the overall score of the ICT topics. However, Arts students scored significant higher for the topic "IT Challenges" while Science students scored higher for the topic "Connecting to the Internet". Our conjecture, as supported by some related work in the literature, is that the learning style of students of different disciplines is a key factor causing the score differences.
