Abstract

From the herbs of Coleus scutellarioides, a new diterpenoid was isolated and identified as 2-(2′ζ-methoxypropyl)-3-hydroxy-5,7,8-trimethylphenanthrene-1, 4-dione, named as scutequinone (1).
