Abstract

Polycrystalline two-layered La2.5-2xK0.5+2xMn2O7+δ (x = 0.075) and ABO3-type La1-xKxMnO3+δ (x = 0.075) have been prepared by a modified sol-gel method and comparisons between their structures and magnetic and electric properties have been made. Compared with the La1-xKxMnO3+δ compound, a large deviation between the metal-insulator transition temperature (Tρ) and the magnetic transition temperature (TC) and a characteristic low-temperature magnetoresistance effect under a relatively low magnetic field have been observed in the polycrystalline two-layered La2.5-2xK0.5+2xMn2O7+δ compound.
