Abstract

A new "source generalization" procedure is applied to a 2 + 1 dimensional Sasa-Satsuma equation based on the Hirota bilinear form. As a result, the 2 + 1 dimensional Sasa-Satsuma equation with self-consistent sources (SSESCS) and its Gramm-type determinant solutions are obtained.
