Abstract

The repetition rate of swept source determines the acquisition rate of optical coherence tomography and interrogation rate of optical sensing systems. The axial resolution of optical coherence tomography is limited by the swept range of the swept source. In this paper, we report an ultrafast time stretching swept source with up to 100 MHz repetition rate and a 100 nm flattop spectrum. The repetition rate can be reconfigured by incorporating with an optical modulator.
