Abstract
경학은 조선 유학의 핵심이다. 조선 유학의 사상을 탐구할 때 주자학을 따르는 학자이건 양명학·실학을 따르는 학자이건 간에 모두 경학 텍스트에 대한 해석을 피해 갈 수 없을 것이다. 경전을 해석하는 새로운 시각과 방법은 시대의 변천과 지역적 차이 그리고 기존 학풍에 대한 반성을 거치면서 늘 다른 형태로 발전해 왔다. 조선 후기 일본과 열강의 끊임없는 침략을 겪으면서 국가의 존망의 경계에 선 조선의 지식인들은, 어떻게 유학을 개혁하여 쓰러져가는 나라를 다시 일으킬 것인가를 깊이 고민했다. 강유위의 경학사상은 바로 이 시기에 조선에 전해졌으며 조선의 지식인들에게 적지 않은 관심을 불러 일으켰다. 본 논문은 한주학파학자인 하겸진이 강유위 경학사상에 대해 비판한 내용을 통해 강유위 사상이 한반도로 전래된 양상을 파악해볼 것이다. 강유위의 경학 사상은 전면적으로 받아들여지기도 했고, 이면에서 비판받기도 했다. 그러나 그 사유는 조선후기에서 근현대 한국에 이르기까지 경전을 해석하는 시각과 내용에 있어 분명한 영향을 미치고 있음을 확인할 수 있다.
Confucian classics is the core of Korean Confucianism. When exploring Korean Confucianism, no matter from the perspective of Zhu-zi xue scholars, Yang-min gxue scholars, and practical scholars, it is impossible to evade its interpretation of Confucian classics. The new perspectives and methods of interpreting classics often have different development in response to the changes of times and regional differences, and through the reflection on the existing style of study. In the later period of Joseon Dynasty, facing the constant invasion of Japan and foreign powers, how to achieve salvation through the reform of Confucianism has always been the focus of intellectuals. Kang Youwei’s thought of Confucian classics was introduced to Korea at this time, which also received a lot of attention. This paper aims to analyze the introduction of Kang Youwei’s thoughts into the Korea through the criticism of Ha Gyeom-jin, a scholar of Hanjoo school. Whether positive or negative, Kang Youwei's thought of Confucian classics influenced the perspective and content of the interpretation of classics in the late Joseon Dynasty and even Korea.
