试论《世说新语》中支道林形象

《世说新语》一共记有十九位僧人,他们性格各异,各有特点,支道林是其中的代表人物。后世谈及支道林,常慕其名士心境,然而回到《世说新语》文本,支道林也经常以学者的面貌出现。他是一个看到经学发展大貌,并能贯通南北之学的经学家,同时也是一个糅合了玄学与佛学的佛学研究者。在生活中,他又有着鲜明的个性,他善于演讲,好论辩,并有着热烈的感情,是一个极富生活情趣的人。

There are 19 monks in A New Account of the Tales of the World. They have different personalities and characteristics. Dowling is an outstanding representative of these monks. When some later poets concerned Dowling, most of them showed their admiration of his unique mental states. However, in A New Account of the Tales of the World, Dowling was also a successful scholar. Not only is he a confucianist who can master the whold developing process of Confucian Classics and integrate the different thoughts from south and north, but also he can combine Metaphysics and Buddhism in his research. In addition, he loved debate and was quite good at making lectures with great enthusiasm in daily life.
