Abstract
先秦至宋,表"哥和弟"之"兄弟1"常见而"弟兄"少见。随着"兄弟"在唐代以后尤其是元明词汇化为偏指之"兄弟2"、敬称对方之"兄弟3"、自我谦称之"兄弟4"后,明代北方话中"弟兄"占领了"兄弟1"的用法,并沿用至今。"兄弟1"使用范围主要在南方话中,并沿用至今。
