Abstract

Zan Baak Fo is one of Annie Wan Lai Kuen’s ceramics projects, which emerges as an extension of her work Everyday a rainbow in the 11th Gwangju Biennale. To reflect on the value of art, Annie sells porcelain pieces made under her supervision at Zan Baak Fo, a store she set up at Sheung Wan. At the same time, she uses the shelves of Hing Nam grocery store at Ping Shek Estate to display her goods. This book consists of a collection of essays contributed by Michelle Wong, Vivian Ting and Kurt Chan to give a detailed introduction about the themes, concepts, thoughts, and questions raised in Annie Wan’s work “Zan Baak Fo”.
