    Abstract

The textual space of Jiaxuan Ci-poetry has an ultimate artistic expression called "universe-spanning". First, Xin Qiji preferred to create an open and capacious space scene, with source materials like "thousands of miles" and "ten thousand miles" and general geo-spatial terms commonly used for spatial description. Second, Xin Qiji always focused on the major theme of the times of resistance against Jin's invasion and serving the country with his heroic temperament, which made the textual space of his Ci-poetry works overflowing with grand momentum. What's more, Xin Qiji was not pursuing grandness and broadness blindly, but hid delicateness into boldness or implied boldness with delicateness. The textual space created by Xin Qiji was always a combination of grand spirit, major theme, magnificent sight and grand scene. That is why his literary achievement on textual space creation was barely caught up by other Ci-poets in the history.
