Abstract

On March 1st, the exhibition It Always Sounds Somewhere: Sounding Sound Practice in Chinese Mainland and Hong Kong Since the 1990s held its first event after opening, inviting participating artists Gogoj and Taurin Barrera to perform at the Inside-Out Art Museum. In 2011, they collaborated on the live stream performance Gigonline conducted by Gogoj’s studio SHANAVLAB, and the video of that performance is featured in this exhibition. The performance is the first reunion between the two artists after fourteen years.
