Abstract
定量描述和分析是科学研究的基本方法。社会科学的各个领域都有方法论专家,专注于定量方法的研究、改善、应用与推广。本文介绍三项与传播有关的定量方法的进展,即可复度的计算,中介效应的分析,以及效果量的测量。其中前两项已有较完整的英文文献,本文只做简单介绍;而以主要篇幅介绍第三项。
This chapter reviews three developments in quantitative methods of communication research, mediation analysis, intercoder reliability calculation, and effect size measure in regression. While Zhao’s views on mediation and reliability have been discussed in English (Zhao, Lynch & Chen, 2010; Zhao, Liu & Deng, 2013), some of the views on effect size measures in this chapter have not been published before.
