Abstract
Qingwen Zhiyao(100 chapters) of several editions during itsspread, had significant influence on foreigners’ compiling Chinese textbooks, withmany different adaptations as a result. This paper reveals some features of spokenwords of Northern Chinese in the end of Qing dynasty based on the textual differencesof seven adaptations of Qingwen Zhiyao during several decades.
