Pre-clinical study of the therapeutic effects of a classic prescription Gui-Zhi-Fu-Ling-Wan on early and middle stage breast cancer

This project aims to clarify the therapeutic effects and mechanisms of action of Gui-Zhi-Fu-Ling-Wan, produced by the cooperative enterprise, on early and middle stage breast cancer. We will 1) identify the chemical compounds in GZFLW; 2) further confirm the therapeutic effects of GZFLW on early and middle stage breast cancer in cellular and animal models with different molecular subtypes; 3) clarify its pharmacodynamic material basis by investigating the effects of its main chemical compounds on cells representing early and middle stage breast cancer. 4) establish main quality control methods for GZFLW. Successful completion of this project will provide pharmacological basis for expanding the indication of GZFLW for early and middle stage breast cancer treatment, and will improve the technological innovation capability of the cooperative enterprise.
