Project Details
Description
Alzheimer’s disease (AD) is the most common form of dementia, but current therapies against the beta-amyloid (Aβ) and tau pathologies have failed in clinical trials. In this project, we will synthesize derivatives of luteolin, genistein and nobiletin and will employ cellular and animal studies to elucidate the therapeutic mechanism of the identified TCM mitophagy activators in AD, thus providing insights into the new therapeutic strategy against AD.
