Project Details

Description

This project develops novel, stable lead-free perovskite optoelectronic materials using a multi-elemental approach. The technical outcomes will advance solar energy harvesting and enable diverse optoelectronic devices including LEDs, photodetectors, and memristors. Life cycle sustainability assessments will quantify environmental benefits compared to lead-based alternatives and guide optimization of synthesis protocols, while compliance and market analyses will support translation into practical applications. The fundamental insights will influence broader semiconductor technologies, contributing to building a smart and sustainable society in Hong Kong and beyond.
