Project Details
Description
"Data science has been influencing various aspects of society, including healthcare, social welfare, transportation, business, arts, governmental policies, and international relationships. Given the vast amount of family data collected from various Integrated Family Service Centres in the Jockey Club SMART Family-Link Project Phase 1, a key component of this proposed project is to develop advanced data analysis methods in agency and sector levels, and implement a state-of-the-art Data Analytics System (DAS).
In Phase 2 of the project, the Department of Social Work, Hong Kong Baptist University will enrich the capabilities of NGOs by developing ICT-aided risk assessment tools; develop evidence-based mixed or blended mode of service to better support families in need; and enhance professionals-to-be with knowledge, skills and ethical values in the use of ICTs and blended mode of services."
