Interface After AI

Project: Research project

Project Details

Description

The project aims to explore and develop alternative AI interface design paradigms that transcend conventional transcriptive, input-output relationships. By engaging with diverse contributors from fields such as music technology, design engineering, theoretical computer science, and
philosophy of computation, our research seeks to understand how AI can function as a creative partner rather than merely a tool for human ideation. The outcomes of this project will include a comprehensive edited volume that proposes a new theory of interfaciality under the regime of AI. Findings will also be disseminated through presentations at industry forums and potential collaborations with arts institutions like the Serpentine Galleries (UK). The project aims to diversify AI toolchains and expand creative possibilities nascent in the relationship between deep
learning and the arts.
