Functional metabolomics investigation of Licorice and Dried Ginger Decoction treating experimental pneumoconiosis

Project: Research project

Project Details

Description

In this project, we shall employ the innovative functional metabolomics approach by our group, with the objective of elucidating the effective targets and mechanisms implicated in the ameliorative effects of LDGD on the dysregulated immune microenvironment, thereby mitigating fibrotic processes. The project will realize several objectives: 1) The therapeutic application of LDGD in the management of pneumoconiosis demonstrates significant potential in enhancing the symptomatology and overall quality of life of patients or construction workers in Hong Kong. 2) We investigate the viability of LDGD as a therapeutic modality for pneumoconiosis. 3) The project can inspire the community to consider TCM as an effective and alternative medication for the clinical treatment of pneumoconiosis instead of immune modulators.
