Exports and Productivity Transmission through Domestic Supply Chain

In this project, we examine the spillover effects of international trade on domestic manufacturing via the domestic supply chains. There exists a large body of literature on the effects of international trade on domestic firms’ performances including both theoretical and empirical studies. However, its spillover effects through the domestic supply chain are under-investigated. The main objective is to analyze the effects of international trade on domestic upstream and downstream industries via domestic supply chains.
