Project: Research project

Project Details

Description

The topic of “purpose” has caught great attention in recent years. Yet, little study has examined the dynamics between a purpose-driven organization and its key stakeholders in developing a shared purpose and how the organization tensions relevant to purpose can be tackled by communication. The research will, first, explore the roles of dialogic communication and organizational listening in facilitating a shared purpose with stakeholders. Secondly, it will examine how a purpose orientation builds meaningful collaborations / partnerships for social change and how organizational tensions relevant to the shared purpose are identified and addressed by listening and dialogic communication.
