Dr. Qilei Chen obtained her Ph.D. degree in Pharmacy in Chinese Medicine from Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) in 2020. She currently serves as a Research Assistant Professor at the School of Chinese Medicine of HKBU, Associate Research Fellow at the Institute for Research and Continuing Education, and Member of the Chinese Medicine Standardization Research Center at the same institution. Her academic roles include Youth Editorial Committee Member of Chinese Herbal Medicines, Guest Editor of Biomedicines, Reviewer Board Member of Nutrients, and Member of the Professional Committee of Multidimensional Evaluation of Dao Di Medicinal Materials under the World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies.

陳綺蕾博士2020年獲香港浸會大學中藥學博士學位，現任本校中醫藥學院研究助理教授、深圳研究院副研究員、中藥標準化研究中心成員。並任《中草藥》(英文版)青年編委、Biomedicines雜誌客座主編、Nutrients雜誌審稿委員會成員、世界中醫藥學會聯合會地道藥材多維評價專業委員會會員。研究方向為抗炎中藥的藥效物質基礎及功能性納米材料應用，以第一或通訊作者身份發表學術論文20餘篇，獲授權國家發明專利3項，主持香港優配研究金(GRF)、國家自然科學基金(NSFC)、廣東省自然科學基金各1项，作爲核心成員參與10餘項國家級、陸港聯合、香港特區級課題，包括香港創新科技署“創新及科技基金”(ITF)、香港醫務衛生局“醫療衛生研究基金”(HMRF)、香港衛生署“香港中藥材標準”(HKCMMS)等。參編香港STEAM教育資源《科技與人生：智慧人生面面觀》一書。

Dr. Chen's research focuses on (1) TCM pharmacognosy research for treating immune-related diseases and (2) functional nanomaterial application in TCM.

As first or corresponding author, she has published over 20 peer-reviewed papers and holds 3 granted national invention patents. Dr. Chen has secured competitive research fundings including the Hong Kong General Research Fund (GRF), National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), and Guangdong Natural Science Foundation. As a key team member, she has participated in more than 10 national, cross-border (Mainland-Hong Kong), and HKSAR level projects, including the Innovation and Technology Fund (ITF) by the Innovation and Technology Commission, the Health and Medical Research Fund (HMRF) by the Health Bureau, and the Hong Kong Chinese Materia Medica Standards (HKCMMS) by the Department of Health.
