Biography

Dr. Jiao, Research Assistant Professor of the Department of Sport, Physical Education and Health, and the System Health Lab at the Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU), has diverse research interests in the area of exercise physiology and intervention, healthy aging, and rehabilitation. She has established research ties with a few researchers locally and overseas, and vigorously engaged in research projects in the aspect of elderly’s physical activity, cognitive health and exercise intervention funded by General Research Fund (GRF) and Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust (HKJCCT), as well as R&D projects of functional/rehabilitative devices funded by Innovation and Technology Fund. Prior to joining HKBU, she obtained her Ph.D. at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and M.Sc. at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Currently, she is also a part-time lecturer and examiner in the Certificate of Fitness Instruction course at the School of Continuing Education of HKBU, and serves as a member of the Society of Chinese Scholars on Exercise Physiology and Fitness.
