Biography

Ms. Michelle Chan is currently a Lecturer and Prgoramme Manager at the Department of Education Studies, Faculty of Social Science of Hong Kong Baptist University. She teaches teacher training courses such as Classroom Management and Advanced Communications Skills as well as supervises students on their graudation projects. On top of her teaching duties, Michelle also oversees the school leadership training programmes such as Preparation for Prinicipalship Programmes for aspiring principals in local primary and secondary schools. She is also in-charge of the Practicum and School Partnership Office of the Department, managing the school practicums for our pre-service and in-service student-teachers. 

 

Michelle has a mixed background of education and corporate communications for over 17 years. She had been a local English teacher for more than eight years and had spent another 9.5 years in the corporate communications sectors. She has keen interest in workplace English and the integration of careers planning in school curriculum.

 

Michelle holds a BA in Translation and a Medu in English Language teaching together with a professional certificate in Careers Guidance and Counselling.
