Biography

Yiran Li, Ph.D., is Assistant Professor of Government and International Studies at Hong Kong Baptist University. She obtained a Ph.D. from the University of Hong Kong (Excellent Graduation), an M.Phil and an MA in Social Sciences from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, and a LL.B. from Shanghai International Studies University (Shanghai Municipal Outstanding Graduate Awardee). Before joining HKBU, she worked as an assistant professor in Department of Government and Public Administration and Centre of Data Sciences at University of Macau. Her main research interests are information politics, social media management, and public policy. Her work has been published in China Economic Review, The American Review of Public Administration, Policy & Internet, Political Sceince Research and Methods, among others.
