Tsz Yuen LAI, Dr

Dr. LAI Tsz Yuen is research assistant professor of the Academy of Film, Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU). His major research topic is “transcendental materialism”. He teaches at universities in both Guangdong and Hong Kong, including the Academy of Film, Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU), the School of Transmedia, Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts (GAFA), and the School of Culture and Creativity, Beijing Normal University-Hong Kong Baptist University United International College (UIC). From 2017 to 2019, he was chief editor of website channel “01 philosophy” (channel of hk01.com).  He works as cultural critic, curator and art educator since 2009, and his book Topography: 12 Interviews with Contemporary Art Institutions in Hong Kong was published in 2011.
