郭平博士長期在中國和海外的中醫藥高等教育機構擔任教學和研究工作，現任香港浸會大學中醫藥學院教學科研部高級講師，主要負責中藥學和中藥鑒定學等民族藥物學相關課程。

郭平博士於1986年、1989年和2004年在成都中醫藥大學獲得學士（中藥學）、碩士（生藥學）和博士（中藥學）學位。1996年在日本富山醫科藥科大學和漢藥研究所任訪問學者（笹川醫學獎學金中國醫學研修生），1997年在加拿大維多利亞國際中醫學院任客座教師，1999年在成都中醫藥大學藥學院任副教授，2006年加入香港浸會大學中醫藥學院。

郭平博士於2019年榮獲香港浸會大學團體傑出教學表現獎（趙中振教授團隊），2022年榮獲香港浸會大學中醫藥學院個人傑出教學表現獎。

Dr. GUO Ping has long been engaged in teaching and research activities in mainland China and overseas higher education institutions of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). Currently serving as senior lecturer of the School of Chinese Medicine (SCM), Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU), he is mainly in charge of courses relevant to ethnopharmacology such as Chinese materia medica and Chinese medicinal identification.

Dr. GUO Ping obtained his bachelor’s degree (Chinese materia medica) in 1986, master’s degree (pharmacognosy) in 1989, and doctor’s degree (Chinese materia medica) in 2004 from Chengdu University of TCM. He was visiting scholar sponsored by Sasagawa medical fellowship at Toyama Medical & Pharmaceutical University (Japan) in 1996 and guest instructor at International College of TCM of Victoria (Canada) in 1997. He was associate professor at the School of Pharmacy, Chengdu University of TCM in 1999, and he joined SCM HKBU in 2006.

Dr. GUO Ping won the 2019 HKBU President’s Award for Outstanding Performance in Team Teaching (the winning team member led by Prof. ZHAO Zhongzhen) and the 2022 SCM Performance Award in Individual Teaching.
