Biography

In his postgraduate studies (Imperial), Matthew Lui studied under the supervision of Tom Welton to understand ionic liquids. Since then, he turned his attention to catalysis and biomass valorization and worked as a postdoctoral fellow for Thomas Maschmeyer (Sydney) and the late Istvan Horvath (CityU). He joined HKBU in 2019 and is currently an Assistant Professor at its Department of Chemistry.
