Dr. Lau Chung Tai is currently Associate Professor of Practice at the School of Chinese Medicine, HKBU.  Dr. Lau studied at Beijing University of Chinese Medicine from 2002 to 2013, and obtained his Bachelor's, Master's and Doctoral degrees in Chinese medicine in 2007, 2010 and 2013, respectively. From 2013 to 2015, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher in internal medicine of chinese medicine in China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences (Beijing), engaged in clinical scientific research. In September 2015, he joined the clinical division of School of Chinese Medicine of Hong Kong Baptist University. Dr. Lau has been engaged in clinical, teaching and scientific research of Chinese medicine for nearly 20 years. His professional research scope includes kidney diseases (such as urinary tract infection, chronic glomerulonephritis, IgA nephropathy, diabetic nephropathy, nephrotic syndrome, chronic renal failure, hydronephrosis, renal cysts, etc.) and andrology diseases (such as chronic prostatitis, chronic benign prostatic hyperplasia, male infertility, etc.). He has participated in and completed 3 scientific research projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China and 3 scientific research projects of the Hong Kong Chinese Medicine Development Fund. He has published 30 professional academic papers and participated in the compilation of 4 books which are "Discovery of Kidney Deficiency", "Vernacular Solution of Su Wen in Huangdi Nei Jing" , "Vernacular solution of Ling Shu in Huangdi Nei Jing" and "Ginseng". etc. Dr. Lau is currently as a director of the Wu Yun Liu Qi Professional Committee and the Cardiovascular Disease Professional Committee of the World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies, and a member of the Huangdi Nei Jing Branch of the Chinese Association of Chinese Medicine.

香港浸會大學中醫藥學院中醫臨床副教授。  劉博士於2002年至2013年就讀於北京中醫藥大學，分別於2007年、2010年和2013年獲得中醫學學士、碩士和博士學位。2013年至2015年，在中國中醫科學院（北京）任職中醫內科學專業博士後研究員，從事臨床科研工作。2015年9月，加入香港浸會大學中醫藥學院臨床部，現任職中醫臨床副教授。劉博士目前從事中醫臨床、教學、科研工作近20年，其專業研究範圍包括腎臟疾病（如泌尿道感染、慢性腎小球腎炎、IgA腎病、糖尿病腎病、腎病綜合征、慢性腎功能衰竭、腎積水、腎囊腫等疾病）以及男科病（如慢性前列腺炎、慢性前列腺增生、男性不育等）。他曾參與並完成了3項國家自然科學基金科研項目和3項香港中醫藥發展基金科研項目，並發表了30篇專業學術論文，參與編寫了4部專業著作，包括《發現腎虛》、《黃帝內經素問白話解》、《黃帝內經靈樞白話解》和《參》等。劉博士現為世界中醫藥學會聯合會五運六氣專業委員會和心血管病專業委員會的理事，同時也是中華中醫藥學會內經學分會的委員。
