Dr. Liu graduated with B.Med. and M.Med. degrees in Sun Yat-sen University in 2010 and 2013, respectively, and then received his Ph.D. degree from Hong Kong Baptist University in 2016. He then finished his postdoctoral training and served as a Research Assistant Professor in Law Sau Fai Institute for Advancing Translational Medicine in Bone & Joint Diseases (TMBJ), HKBU. He became a tenure-track Assistant Professor in School of Chinese Medicine at HKBU in September 2021，and an Associate Professor with tenure in July 2025.

劉進博士2010年本科畢業於中山大學中山醫學院臨床醫學系，2013年獲中山大學醫學碩士學位，2016年獲香港浸會大學生物醫學哲學博士學位，先後在香港浸會大學羅守輝骨與關節疾病轉化醫學研究所擔任博士後研究員和研究助理教授，2021年9月起擔任香港浸會大學中醫藥學院助理教授，2025年7月晉升為副教授。

劉博士的研究興趣主要集中在：內源性糖皮質激素和外泌體介導的細胞間通訊参与调控肌肉骨骼系統疾病和腫瘤進程的分子機制與藥物發現，以及基於適配子的骨靶向藥物遞送研究。研究成果發表在Nature Aging, Nature Communications, Biomaterials, EBioMedicine, Aging Cells等國際知名學術期刊。

Innovative drug discovery in musculoskeletal diseases and cancer, with particular interest in the mechanistic understanding of how endogenous glucocorticoid signaling and extracellular vesicle-mediated intercellular communication contribute to bone and joint diseases and tumor microenviroment, and aptamer-based bone/tumor-targeting drug delivery as a therapeutic approach.
