Kevin J. Turner was born and raised on the West coast of the United States. He recieved his BA in Asian Studies from the University of California, Berkeley in 2012. After 3 years working in Shenzhen, he moved to Beijing to continue his academic career. He recevied his MPhil and his PhD in Chinese Philosophy from Peking University in 2015 and 2022 respectively. He is now Assistant Professor in the Department of Religion and Philosophy at Hong Kong Baptist University.
