Biography

Dr. Wong is a senior registered social worker who has more than 15 years of professional experience in the field of community development and urban regeneration. He teaches courses related to macro social work practices, community development, and management in non-profit organizations. Since 2021, Dr. Wong has served as the Programme Director of the Master of Social Sciences in Social Work (Part-time) of the Department and the Project Director of the Community Development Initiatives, Social Work Practice and Mental Health Centre, HKBU to facilitate partnership between non-profit organizations and the Department for the promotion of community development practice. Apart from his service in the Department, Dr. Wong has actively contributed to the society by various participation. He is a board of director of a famous social enterprise “Sharing Kitchen Hong Kong” which targets to promote alternative living with grassroots families. He is also a member of the Advisory Committee of the Caritas Community Centre- Ngau Tau Kwok.
