Biography
Dr. Jongsoo "Jays" Kim is currently an assistant professor in the department of management, marketing and information system (MMIS), school of business at Hong Kong Baptist University. He received M.S in Policy Economics at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and Ph.D in Strategic Management in the Krannert School of Management at Purdue University. He also earned his double B.A degrees in Management, and Chinese Literature/Language at Korea University.
His research interests include corporate-level strategy, strategic human capital, innovation, and sport-data science. His research has been published in top-tier journals in strategic management such as Strategic Management Journal, and Research Policy. Also his research has been featured in major media outlet such as Wall Street Journal, and Business Times.
Dr. Kim’s research has been awarded from several major conferences in management such as Academy of Management Distinguished Student Paper Winner and Strategic Management Society Best PhD Paper Finalist. Moreover, his research has been awarded Early Career Research Excellence Award from Hong Kong Baptist University Business School. In addition, one of his research proejcts has been selected in Early Career Scheme (ECS) by Hong Kong University Grants Committee (UGC) with about HKD 470,000.
