Biography

Dr. Ho graduated from The University of Hong Kong with B.Sc. (Hons.) in Chemistry of Analytical Theme and Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry. Currently, he is a Senior Lecturer cum BSc Programme Director and Associate Head (Teaching and Learning) at the Chemistry Department of Hong Kong Baptist University. His current research interests include analytical spectroscopy, fundamentals and applications of ICP-MS, single-cell and single-particle analysis, and chemical education.

Dr. Ho is a devoted teacher who is passionate to use innovative approaches to transform student’s experience in learning chemistry both inside and outside the classroom. In recognition of his excellence in teaching and learning, he was the recipient of the President’s Awards for Outstanding Performance in Early Career Teaching as well as in Team Teaching 2018, the Faculty Performance Award in Team Teaching 2021 and the Dean’s Award for Outstanding Achievement in Teaching 2022 at HKBU, the Exemplary Teaching and Learning Award (Silver) 2019 from eLearning Forum Asia, and National Teaching Achievement Award (Higher Education) 2022 from Ministry of Education, China. Besides, he had been awarded as a Fellow by the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) in 2019, Chartered Science Teacher by the Royal Society of Chemistry (CSciTeach) in 2020, and Fellow from the International Holistic Competency Foundation in 2025.
