Biography
Gina Lai received the PhD degree in Sociology from State University of New York at Albany. She is currently Professor in Department of Sociology, Hong Kong Baptist University. Her major research areas are social network, social stratification, health, and Chinese societies. She has recently completed a project on the school-to-work transition process and subsequent impacts on social and psychological well-being of high school students in urban Nanjing. Currently, she is involved in a collaborative research project on social networks in low-income communities in Hong Kong.
