Ever since Dr. Ge Liang joined HKBU，he has devoted himself into both academic studies and literary writing and obtained substantial achievements in both fields including “the President’s Awards for Outstanding Performance ”.As regards scholarly work, he has published 30 refereed papers, many appearing in  tier-1 journals including Literature Review, the leading international academic journal in Chinese literature study. His scholarly works, especially exploratory articles on contemporary Chinese urban literature and culture have been widely cited . As a prolific creative writer, Dr.Ge has published 24 books and more than 100 articles which have appeared in refereed literary journals . Many of his works have been translated into English, Spanish, Russian, Japanese and Korean. He also obtained 45 local and overseas literary awards so far，including "The Hong Kong Arts Development Awards” , "The Hong Kong Book Prize” ,"Top Ten Chinese Novels" by Asia Weekly.  “Best Book Award of the year 2017 in China” and “Writer of the Year 2017 in China ”by Condé Nast Publications Inc.
