Personal profile

Elaine W. Ng is Assisant Professor at the Academy of Visual Arts and Associate Programme Director of the Master of Science in Marketing for the Creative Economy, Hong Kong Baptist University. She lectures on modern and contemporary Asian art history, feminist art history, art criticism, and research methodologies for the visual arts. She has also been a guest speaker at academic institutions, including School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Seoul National University, Sotheby’s Institute, and Christie’s Education.

She actively supports greater gender diversity within the field and the visibility of experimental practices, particularly video and performance art.
