Biography
Emily Chow-Quesada is an assistant professor at the Department of English Language and Literature, Hong Kong Baptist University. Her research focuses on postcolonial anglophone literature and the representations of blackness in Hong Kong. Her current projects include the representations of blackness in Hong Kong media, a documentary on black female artists in Hong Kong, a podcasts series documenting the voices of the marginalized in Hong Kong through digital storytelling, and an online photographic journal of the female demographic in Hong Kong. She is also the editor of the “Hong Kong and Chinese Literature and Culture” section of Hong Kong Review of Books.
