Biography

Dr. Kam Chau Kwok (Daniel) is a Lecturer at the Department of History, Hong Kong Baptist University. He got his PhD in History at Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2013. He worked as a TV reporter for Fairchild Television in Toronto for a few years before pursuing graduate studies in History. He joined HKBU in 2013. 

Dr Kwok has been trained to approach Historical Anthropology in China with a comprehensive and distinctive edge. By combining field (anthropology) and documentary (history) research, Historical Anthropology is an inter-disciplinary method that provides a comprehensive understanding of how local societies acquire their specific identities at the same time as they become integrated into a broader, unified culture.
