Biography

Dr. Chu received his B.Eng. degree in the Computer Science from Tsinghua University, Beijing, P. R. China, in 1999, and the Ph.D. degree in the Computer Science from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in 2003. He is a professor in the Department of Computer Science, Hong Kong Baptist University. He is serving as the Director of the High Performance Cluster Computing Centre of HKBU, the Director of Blockchain and Fintech Laboratory, and the Director of High Performance Machine Learning Laboratory. He is a senior member of IEEE and a member of ACM. He is a vice-chairman of the Blockchain Technical Committee of China Institute of Communications. He has been serving as the associate editor or guest editor of many international journals, including IEEE Transactions on Network Science and Engineering, IEEE Internet of Things Journal, IEEE Network, and IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics. He is a co-recipient of the Best Paper Award of IEEE INFOCOM 2021.
