Dr. Lifeng LI is a Research Assistant Professor at the School of Chinese Medicine, Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU). She obtained her Ph.D. from HKBU, followed by a postdoctoral fellowship at the Hong Kong Authentication Centre of Valuable Chinese Medicines, where she also served as the R&D Director. Dr. Li has led and participated in pivotal projects including:

1. Developed characteristic markers for the quality control of valuable Chinese medicines such as Goat bezoar, Cordyceps, Dendrobium officinale, Edible bird’s nest and Ejiao etc. These works have generated over 10 core patents that have been successfully transferred and commercially licensed.
2. Established an innovative analytical method based on oligosaccharide markers, effectively solving the industry-wide challenge of quantifying polysaccharide components in complex Chinese medicine formulas.
3. Established an in vivo macromolecule tracing platform. This platform, for the first time, enabled the visualization and kinetic analysis of the lymphatic absorption and transport of polysaccharides, opening new avenues for elucidating their mechanisms of action.
4. Proposed a novel purity evaluation strategy based on glycosidase diagnosis. This provides an indispensable tool for clarifying the structure-activity relationships of polysaccharides and ensuring the accuracy of research data.

As a Principal Investigator, Dr. Li has successfully secured competitive research grants from the NSFC and CMDF. Her individual research excellence was recognized with the prestigious “Dr. Willmar Schwabe Young Talent Prize”. As a core member, she also contributed to team honors, including a Gold Medal at the Middle East International Invention Fair and a Silver Medal at the International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva.

To date, Dr. Li has published over 30 papers in leading international journals such as Carbohydrate Polymers, Food Hydrocolloids, and the Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry, with many as the first or corresponding author. Her work has an H-index of 17 and has received up to 171 citations for a single paper.

李利鋒博士現任香港浸會大學中醫藥學院研究助理教授。她擁有香港浸會大學博士學位，其後在香港名貴中藥檢定中心完成博士後研究並兼任研發總監。

李博士先後主導或者參與了重要項目的開發，包括：

1.    特徵性標誌物的開發，為猴棗、冬蟲夏草、鐵皮石斛、燕窩、阿膠等名貴中藥的品質控制提供了關鍵技術，產生超過10項核心專利，並已成功實現技術轉化與商業授權。

2.    開發了基於寡糖標誌物的分析方法，有效解決了中藥複方中多糖成分難以定量控制的業界難題；

3.    建立大分子體內示蹤技術平臺，該平臺首次實現了對多糖等大分子經淋巴途徑吸收轉運過程的視覺化與動力學分析，為闡明其體內作用機制開闢了新路徑。

4.    基於糖苷酶診斷的純度評價新策略，為厘清多糖的構效關係、確保研究資料的準確性提供了不可或缺的工具。

作為項目負責人（PI），李博士成功獲得多項競爭性研究基金，包括國家自然科學基金（NSFC）及中醫藥發展基金（CMDF）。其個人榮獲國際獎項“Dr. Willmar Schwabe青年學者獎”；同時作為核心成員，助力團隊斬獲中東國際發明展金獎及日內瓦國際發明展銀獎等多項殊榮。并且，李博士已在《Carbohydrate Polymers》、《Food Hydrocolloids》及《Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry》等國際權威期刊上發表論文30餘篇（多篇為第一/通訊作者），H-index為17，單篇最高引用達171次。
