Biography

I am the Associate Dean (Teaching and Learning - Undergraduate Studies) of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, the Director of the Centre for Applied Ethics, and an Associate Professor in the Department of Religion and Philosophy in the Academy of Chinese, History, Religion and Philosophy at Hong Kong Baptist University. I received my Ph.D. and MA in Philosophy at the University of Maryland, College Park, LLM(HR) at the University of Hong Kong, and Bachelor of Science in Economics and Philosophy at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. My Areas of Research Specialization (AOS) include Applied Ethics & Moral Philosophy, Social & Political Philosophy, and Comparative Philosophy (Chinese & Western). 

Research Interests

Research Specialization (AOS): Applied Ethics & Moral Philosophy, Social & Political Philosophy, and Comparative Philosophy (Chinese & Western).

Current Research Projects: (1)  Public Health Ethics, (2) Ethics of Privacy in A.I. and Technology, (3) Animal Ethics, (4) Ethics of War and Peace, (5) Ethics of Human Rights, and (6) Consequentialism, Confucianism, and Christianity.
