Biography
Prof. Bik Chow has worked with the Department of Sport, Physical Education and Health over 25 years. She obtained her doctoral degree from the University of Georgia, USA and the bachelor and master degrees from the Springfield College, USA. Her research interests are in exercise interventions for both elderly and special population, health literacy, and fitness testing. She has published over 100 papers and is serving as an associate editor of the Journal of Exercise Science and Fitness. Her grants totalled to over hkd$33 millions. One recently funded project and two completed projects are of relatively large scale community studies comprising of exercise interventions for older adults in Hong Kong. She is the Director of the Dr. Stephen Hui Research Centre for Physical Recreation and Wellness. Currently, the centre has 11 research staff conducting community projects and Research studies.
