Biography
Dr. Aries Wong obtained his PhD in Economics from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a holder of MSc. degree in risk management science. Before joining the academia, he worked in the risk management function of varous banking and financial institutions. Dr. Wong's primary research interest include macroeocnomics and Hong Kong economy.
Dr. Wong has a strong interest in knowledge transfer. He is a member of the Qualification and Examination Board of Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants, a member of the Subject Committee on HKDSE Economics of HKEAA and a member of the CDC-HKEAA Committee on Economics of Curriculum Development Institute, Education Bureau. Dr. Wong regularly provides training to civil service college, secondary school teachers and the industry through seminars and consultancy projects. He also offers his economic knowledge and analysis to the general public in mass media.
