Biography

Dr. Albert Ahn is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Management, School of Business, at Hong Kong Baptist University.
He received his Ph.D in Strategic Management at the University of California, Irvine, and a MA degree in Statistics at Yale University.
He also graduated with honors (Phi Beta Kappa) and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Emory University. 

His research domain lies within the realm of capital markets. He investigates shareholder activism, specifically hedge fund activism, and its impact on corporate governance (for e.g., CEOs, board of directors) and corporate strategy. He also examines tax avoidance in the context of corporate governance and corporate strategy of firms.

His research has been published in top-tier journals such as Strategic Management Journal and the Academy of Management Perspectives. His research has been featured in major media outlets such as the Institutional Investor and Singtao Finance.
