Organization Profile
The Department of Chemistry at HKBU is to bring together diverse researchers across disciplines to perform cutting edge research in analytical science, chemical biology, drug discovery and advanced materials. Our department is now focusing on bio- and chemical technology. Our researchers have developed ground-breaking techniques for use in drug development and discovery, diagnosis of diseases and antibiotic resistance.
The Department of Chemistry currently offers two Bachelor of Science degrees and one taught Master of Science postgraduate degree with emphasis on Analytical Chemistry and Testing Sciences. We also offer a research postgraduate program leading variably to a M.Phil. and Ph.D degree in various cutting-edge research areas of pure and applied chemistry.
