HKBU scientists develop versatile compound for treating Alzheimer’s disease

A press conference was held on 24 August 2022, at Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU). Dr Iyaswamy Ashok, Research Assistant Professor from HKBU demonstrated that F-SLOH, a multifunctional organic compound, can inhibit the aggregation of amyloid-beta (Aβ) and reduce the hyperphosphorylation of tau proteins in the brain to improve the pathological features of Alzheimer’s disease titled “HKBU scientists develop versatile compound for treating Alzheimer’s disease”.
