This special occasion brings together senior leadership from HKBU, the University of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (UCASS), and BNBU. More importantly, it offers a valuable opportunity to establish research connections within the Greater Bay Area (GBA). The whole-day event on 22 May is under the Academic Exchange Memorandum signed between HKBU and the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences on 16 November 2023.

The Humanities and Social Sciences Research Base (Zhuhai) marks the Second Research Platform following the First Base in Shenzhen on 15 March 2025, further expanding our GBA academic network. In addition, the accompanying symposium on the afternoon is designed to foster cross-border collaboration, including joint research initiatives, faculty exchange, and postgraduate partnerships between Mainland China and Hong Kong.
