Description

Delivered as part of the History Brown Bag Seminar organised at the University of Melbourne, the paper investigates the acquisitions of paintings by Spanish diplomats in Milan during the first three decades of the seventeenth century. The study focuses on two large series of paintings commissioned by the Governor of Milan Pedro de Toledo Osorio from brothers Camillo and Giulio Cesare Procaccini.
