Roberto Alonso Trillo (Supervisor). 1,239,180 HKD.Davor Vincze’s proposed research focuses on constructing reality based on fragmented information and the cognitive biases reinforced by digital media and social networks. The project, XinSheng, an intermedia-theater piece, explores the blurred line between truth and fiction, presenting multiple simultaneous perspectives. The music is designed to capture this atmosphere by layering interconnected fragments from live performance, electronics, and audience's smartphones. The stage design enhances the open-ended narrative between documentary and fiction. Objectives include creating musical etudes that work with fragmentation, designing electronic tools for perception duality, incorporating these tools into practice, conducting audience and performer surveys, and publishing articles and a book on 'Musical Mosaicking'.
